The Salient is a UK East Coast Electronicore band reliving the sound and spirit of the Myspace era through a modern, deeply personal lens. The project fuses crushing breakdowns, EDM inspired electronics, and theatrical melodies with lyrics rooted in nostalgia, identity, and mental health. Drawing influence from bands of the era such as Asking Alexandria, Attack Attack!, Enter Shikari and Capture the Crown.

The band was formed originally as a solo project by Joseph George back in 2014 during his high school years, however The Salient would not take off until 2026, when debut single '(Romeo Doesn't Know) Juliet Has A Gun' was released. After years of playing in other bands of various genres and meeting some amazing local musicians, it finally felt right returning to The Salient to record the music he wanted to create all those years ago.

Now with the help of Guitarists Ben Reeder, France Fevrier and Josh Childerhouse, Bassist Callum Fellows and Drummer Ian Arnold, The Salient plans to bring their brand of Metalcore to live venues around the UK and beyond, bringing back the energy of late 00's crabcore shows. Debut EP 'This Was Meant To Mean Something', will be releasing late 2026. It's not just a revival, it's a reminder that this never really left.
